I would just do the bike for now and wait a while and see how you like it. Then, if you still want words you can get them. If not, you can skip em'. :)
One of my friends did a practice tatoo with henna ink. It lasts a few weeks, but helped her decide how she wanted the tatoo to look. She ended up getting a similar tatoo, but making it a bit smaller.
